Duro's Slack integration simplifies tracking and communication by sending notifications of Change Orders and component status updates directly to your Slack application. Duronauts also have the option to customize webhooks, helping you stay informed and up to speed at all times. Please note that only your company's administrators are authorized to install the integration for your company.

Overview

The Slack integration allows you to monitor Change Order progress and access them quickly and conveniently. Specific approvers and notifiers will be instantly alerted in Slack when Change Orders are submitted, approved, rejected, or closed. The Change Order is hyperlinked within the Slack notification, transporting you directly to the Change Order in Duro to read all pertinent information soon after modifications are made to a product or component. 

Development, manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams benefit from having all notifications centralized in a single location as items are pushed to production. This integration minimizes the need to alternate between applications to communicate Change Order advancements. 

Webhooks can be customized to include or exclude notifications for Change Order submissions, approvals, and rejections. Notifications on Change Order closures are always sent. Webhooks between Duro and Slack can also be customized to include or exclude notifications on component actions, including creation, updates, or deletions. How to enable Duro's Slack integration

Enabling Duro's Slack integration is a short process that will improve the rest of your Duro experience. Follow the instructions below to set up.

Enable the integration for Slack within Prismatic

1. Navigate to integrations.durolabs.co.
2. Click on Marketplace in the left navigation.
3. Click the Slack tile. 
4. Click Configure.
5. In the Initial Configuration window, open the dropdown menu for Trigger details. This will reveal the Flow 1 URL. Copy this into a notepad or document to use later in this tutorial during the Duro setup. 
   
   
   
   
   
6. In the Initial Configuration window, click on Next.
7. In the Slack Connection window, enter your Duro API Key. This is accessed within your Duro Webhooks Table. The hyperlink below the Duro API text field shows a shortcut to this table.*

10. Click Next. 
11. Click the Connect button within the Slack Connection box. 
12. This will initiate the Slack authorization portion of this tutorial.

Authorize Slack connection with Duro 

It's important to note that if Slack is not currently installed on your device, the setup instructions for integrating Duro with Slack may differ. Please visit Slack's website for their software's most recent and accurate installation instructions before proceeding with our integration process.

1. Select your company's workspace in the upper right-hand corner of the Slack setup page if it’s not already shown.
2. Read the viewing and action permission settings for Duro's Slack integration:
   • What will Duro be able to view?
   • What will Duro be able to do?
3. Click on the Allow button to authorize the integration installation.

Slack configuration in Prismatic

1. Return to the web browser with Prismatic. 
2. In the Slack Connection window, click Next.
3. In the Slack Configuration window, select the desired channel name or ID Variable from the dropdown.
   
   
   
   
4. Then, click Next.
5. In the Duro Config window, enter your base URL. This is the main URL you use to access the Duro web application.
6. Then, click Finish.

 Your Slack integration is now enabled.
