In this article, we'll walk you through setting up the Google Drive Backup Automator for Duro, which is now available in beta for all existing Duro customers. This integration ensures that all your component library data and attachments are securely backed up in Google Drive, providing an efficient and reliable backup solution.
Overview
The Google Drive Backup Automator connects your Duro component library with your Google Drive account, enabling you to back up all your component library data into a single JSON file. It also includes all binary data such as STEP files, PDFs, images, and other item types attached directly to your components. This automated process is scheduled to run weekly, ensuring your data is consistently up-to-date.
This integration ensures your data is always secure and accessible, even during system failures or data loss. The Google Drive backup is particularly useful for engineering and product development teams that manage extensive component libraries. By backing up component data and associated files, your team can ensure that all your design information is preserved and can be easily restored if needed.
