Duro ensures that your team is working off the latest set of designs. If your Change Order package has expired, you can use the Resend Change Order feature. This feature allows users to save Change Orders as a zip package to their computer or to send it as a link via email. This is helpful as it streamlines the communication around Change Orders, simplifying the process of sharing product data.
The Resend Change Order feature allows users to send a Change Order package to other users, both within the original Change Order and outside of it as well. This works for Documentation Change Orders (DCOs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs). Another function of this export package is that it enables users to save it to their computer to be reviewed. Recipients are usually a part of the Change Order, but not always. Therefore, this tool increases visibility both within and outside of the immediate team developing the product.
How to resend a Change Order
When a Change Order has been closed, a new button appears alongside the resolution label. This icon will appear regardless of the CO being approved or rejected. Follow the steps below to send an update:
- Navigate to the Change Order window of the production in question.
- Find the resolution label in the upper right-hand corner—it will either read Approved or Rejected. The Resend Change Order icon is represented by an envelope bordered by two arrows forming a circle on its perimeter. When you hover your mouse over this button, you will see the tooltip reading Resend Change Order.
- Click on this icon, and a modal will appear. It automatically includes your email address.
- You can opt to include approvers and/or notifiers of the Change Order. When the coordinating box is checked, the avatar, names, and email addresses of the original approvers and/or notifiers will appear below your own name in the list.
- Click Resend. The modal contents will change to the modal in the design Preparing Your Change Order.
- Once a Change Order has been resent, the activity will be recorded in the Change Order history.
- You will receive an email, and all those added to the resend Change Order email list should also receive an email with the export package and CO details.
Manually adding recipients
If the desired recipient is not in the approver or notifier list, you have the option to manually add users to the recipient list. Type out their email address in the text box at the bottom of the Resend Change Order modal. Separate emails with a comma when searching. Emails added should appear at the bottom of the list.
Removing recipients
As a user, you can delete any added email addresses. To remove individuals from the list, click the green "X" icon to the right of their email addresses.
You do not have the option to remove yourself from the resend list, as the "X" to the right of your name will be greyed out, barring you from removing your email address.
