Adding components to an assembly is easy and takes no time at all. Whether you're starting with a Cable Assembly, Packaging Assembly, PCBA, or something else entirely, we'll show you how to incorporate their components, products, and sub-assemblies.
Multiple ways to expand an assembly
As you might have already expected, we at Duro offer a myriad of options that are customizable to your needs. Because of this, there are a couple of different ways to add components to an assembly.
One option is using the Import from File function through your Components Library. This is most useful if your assembly has not been created yet in Duro, and you need to add all components to it while simultaneously creating it. Bulk importing components to their assemblies will save you time and the headache of adding each individually retroactively. For more information, please visit our Import from File and FAQ: Importing Specs in Bulk articles.
The second way to add components to an assembly is by working within the assembly page itself. You have the option to add from your library, import from vendor, import from file, or create manually, all directly within the assembly page. In this article, we'll elaborate upon this method of component incorporation specifically.
