Default hosting

The default hosting option for all Duro accounts is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) multi-tenant environment accessible at https://mfg.duro.app/. This means your Duro instance shares hardware infrastructure with other customers, and Duro handles all software updates, maintenance, and infrastructure management. This option is cost-effective, easy to set up, scalable, and maintenance-free. 

However, it offers less control over customization, the potential for minor performance impacts in rare scenarios, and might raise security concerns for industries with extremely strict compliance needs. Duro's default SaaS hosting is ideal for small to medium-sized businesses, companies without dedicated IT resources, and those who need a quick, off-the-shelf solution without heavy customization requirements. 

This default multi-tenant environment allows you to benefit from automatically receiving the latest updates and improvements in Duro. All of your data is properly secure and only accessible with valid credentials and authorization. 

Dedicated hosting

Duro offers the option to host company accounts on a dedicated environment (single-tenant) for enhanced performance, security, and customization. This comes with a unique URL format: https://COMPANYNAME.duro.app/.   

Advantages include exclusive resources for optimal performance, greater control over security,  scalability, the ability to tailor the environment, and increased reliability. However, dedicated hosting is typically more expensive than shared options, requires a higher level of technical expertise, and places the responsibility of server maintenance on the company.* Consider this option if your company has strict security needs, high traffic, a need for extensive customization, and the resources to manage a dedicated server environment.

Note: Not all hosting options are priced equally. Enterprise customers exclusively have access to dedicated hosting, ITAR compliance, and self-hosting solutions.
