Objective: To walk Duronauts through the process of setting up the Duro-Slack integration.
Difficulty: Easy
In this article:
The Duro-Slack integration simplifies tracking and communication by sending notifications of Change Order and component status updates directly to your Slack application. Duronauts also have the option to customize webhooks, helping you stay informed and up to speed at all times. Please note that only administrators of your company are authorized to install the integration for your company.
Overview
The Duro-Slack integration allows you to monitor Change Order progress and access them quickly and conveniently. Specific approvers and notifiers will be instantly alerted in Slack when Change Orders are submitted, approved, rejected, or closed. The Change Order is hyperlinked within the Slack notification, transporting you directly to the Change Order in Duro to read all pertinent information soon after modifications are made to a product or component.
Development, manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams alike benefit from having all notifications centralized in a single location as items get pushed to production. With this integration, the need for alternating between applications to communicate Change Order advancements is minimized.
Duro-Slack webhooks can be customized to include or exclude notifications for Change Order submissions, approvals, and rejections. Notifications on Change Order closures are always sent. Duro-Slack webhooks can also be customized to include or exclude notifications on component actions including component creation, updates, or deletions. For more information on webhooks, please visit our article on Webhooks.
